Supported by the Third Health Programme of the European Commission, WOF’s Policy and Advocacy Team has been working on launching an evidence database through the compilation of policy dossiers. The aim of the dossiers is to support policymakers, NGOs and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of policies.
On Thursday 19 September, they will be releasing their sixth policy dossier focused on the management and treatment of obesity in children and youth. For this occasion, they will be hosting a webinar in which three of our STOP researchers will be presenting:
- Paulina Nowicka will offer her input on lifestyle and behavioural interventions in the treatment of childhood obesity and will provide insight on the randomised controlled trial for overweight and obesity in pre-schoolers, including children from Romania, Spain and Sweden;
- Following our deliverable 8.1, Tim Lobstein will talk about inequalities in the treatment of childhood obesity;
- Margot Neveux will be presenting the recommendations outlined in WOF’s briefing paper.
